Frequently Asked Questions

What happens during the free discovery call?

During your complimentary 15-minute discovery call, we'll discuss your healthcare challenge, determine whether Your Path to Care is a good fit for your situation, and review potential next steps. No medical or legal advice is provided during this consultation.

What does a patient advocate do?

A patient advocate helps individuals understand healthcare systems, identify barriers to care, and explore available administrative pathways and options.

Do you provide medical advice?

No. Your Path to Care provides non-clinical patient advocacy, healthcare navigation, education, and administrative support. We do not diagnose, treat, or provide medical advice.

Do you provide legal advice?

No. We are not attorneys and do not provide legal advice or legal representation.

Can you guarantee my service will be approved?

No. Insurance companies, government agencies, providers, and other third parties make final decisions regarding coverage and approvals. We cannot guarantee any specific outcome.

Will you write my appeal?

Depending on the situation, we may help identify appeal opportunities, documentation gaps, and strategic considerations. However, clients remain responsible for submitting appeals unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Are you affiliated with my insurance company?

No. Your Path to Care is an independent patient advocacy and healthcare navigation service and is not affiliated with any insurance carrier, healthcare system, government agency, or provider organization.

What types of issues can you help with?

Examples include insurance denials, prior authorization barriers, delayed specialist access, coverage criteria questions, healthcare navigation challenges, and complex healthcare system issues.

Do I need a denial letter?

No. While denial letters are helpful, they are not required for every consultation.

What insurance types do you work with?

We may assist clients navigating Medicaid, Medicare, commercial insurance, and marketplace plans.

How quickly will I receive my Strategic Access Portfolio?

Most portfolios are delivered within 7 business days after all necessary records and documentation have been received.

What is your refund policy?

Discovery Calls are free, so no refund is needed.

Denial Decoded™: Because review work begins immediately upon receipt of documents, all Denial Decoded services are non-refundable once the review has started.

Care Access Intensive™: Due to the time-intensive nature of records review, research, and strategic analysis, all fees become non-refundable once review of records, denial documentation, or case materials has begun. If a client cancels before review begins, a refund may be issued less any administrative processing fees.

Important Notice

Your Path to Care provides non-clinical patient advocacy, education, and healthcare navigation services. We do not provide medical advice, legal advice, or guarantees of insurance approval.
